American Mountain Ash

Description

American Mountain Ash – seedling (Approx. 2-3ft). This small native tree’s dark green leaves turn yellow, orange and reddish-purple in the fall. Slow grower, with annually growth of less than 12′ per year. Mountain ash prefers moist soil and full sunlight, growing along forest edges, roadsides and swamp areas. Emerald ash borer does not attack mountain ash trees. The American Mountain Ash will get to a height of 23 – 26 ft., and a spread of 16 ft.
