Currant – Ben Sarek (Black)

Description

Ben Sarek is a hardy, high yielding black current from the Scottish Ben series. This is a mid-season variety that produces large, firm berries. It is very productive and displays a compact, semi-dwarf growth habit that is well suited for Canadian climates.

Black currants are known for their rich, tart berries that are high in vitamin C. These berries are versatile, used in jams, jellies, and baking, or simply eaten fresh.

Cold-hardy.

Will come potted in 2G pots.

Will mature approximately 3-4ft tall and 3-4ft wide. Recommended spacing is 3ft apart.
