Empire (Semi Dwarf)

Description

Empire is a cross between McIntosh and Red Delicious. It has the flavor of McIntosh with the sweetness of Delicious. This productive tree is disease-resistant to fire blight and cedar apple rust. Empire have a dessert-wine taste. It is a heavy producer and will readily set a large crop of small apples if you let it – thin the crop just after blossom is over to get fewer but larger apples and better flavor.

Pollinator required: Choose another pollinator such as Gala, Courtland, CrimsonCrisp, Fuji, Ginger Gold, Granny Smith, Red Delicious and Honeycrisp.

1 year whips, grafted on G202 rootstocks. Trees will mature around 15ft tall.
