Trees are 11/16 in diameter on Bailey rootstock and will get 15-20ft tall at maturity. Under cultivation, however, they can be kept between 3 and 4 metres (10 and 13 feet) tall by pruning. Trees are sold as bareroot and are not potted.
Nectarines aka the smooth-skinned peach, which lack the fuzzy trichomes (plant hairs) characteristic of peach fruits. Nectarines are a source of vitamins A and C and are commonly eaten fresh or cooked in conserves, jams, and pies. The flesh is perfumed with aromatics, overtly juicy when ripe, and golden colored with red bleeds at the skin and surrounding the central rough pit. In the spring, the flowers send shoots of the previous season’s growth. The petals are pink but occasionally white.
Nectarines are self pollinating meaning that you only need to plant one variety to bear fruit.
Trees are sold potted and are currently around 4-5ft.
