Description
Royalty is a purple raspberry that is a popular, high-yielding hybrid known for its large, sweet berries that are excellent for fresh eating, jams and jellies. They are a cross between red and black raspberries. The berries are large, aromatic, and firm, with a sweet, light flavor. According to Michigan State University, it is the “sweetest purple raspberry available”.
Ripening Time: It is a late-season variety with a harvest time mid-July-August. Fruit can be picked when slightly immature (red) for a tarter traditional raspberry flavour or fully ripe (dull purple) for a sweeter blackberry flavour.
Planting Notes: The plant performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. It is crucial to prune the bare-root canes back to about 2 inches above the ground immediately after planting to encourage strong new growth.

Raspberries are a bush that will grow 5-6ft tall with a 2-3ft spread. Space canes 2-3ft apart when growing.
Selling as bareroots (not potted) with pickup at the end of April. Sold in bundles of 5 for $25 ($5 per cane). Unfortunately smaller quantities are not available. Note when you buy 1 bundle you’ll get 5 canes.
