Victory (European Plum)

Description

Victory is a cross between Vision and Valor.  It produces heart-shaped violet-blue plums with a greenish/yellow flesh. This variety is very productive, noted for its high yields and large fruits. Bred in Canada out of Vineland. Fruit ripens in late fall. It’s firm flesh makes it a great choice for fresh market but it’s also a top choice for cooking and processing. Heavy producer often requiring thinning to ensure large fruit size.

Requires a pollinator, choose another European plum such a Stanley or Valor.

These are two-year old trees that come potted and have a 1/2″ caliber. Will mature 15ft on Krymsk 86 rootstock.

Ripens: Mid September – ripening about 5 days after Stanley but before Italian plums

Zone: 5-7
