Shiro Plum

Description

Shiro is an early yellow-golden plum variety. It is a Japanese plum that produces oval-shaped fruit that grow to around 2.5 centimeters in diameter. It is soft juicy and moderately sweet. They have a single seed or pit making it easy to remove the stone. Shiro plums are abundant producers that are best eaten fresh or cooked in deserts such as tarts and pies and preserves. The fruit has a longer shelf life than most plums and can keep for up to  two weeks in the fridge.

Trees can live up to 40 years and have attractive white blossoms in spring.

Requires a pollinator, which must be another Japanese variety such as Early Gold.

These are two-year old trees that come potted and have a caliber of 20mm. Trees will be branched out. Will mature 15-20ft.
