Description

Shiro is an early yellow-golden plum variety. It is a Japanese plum that produces oval-shaped fruit that grow to around 2.5 centimeters in diameter. It is soft juicy and moderately sweet. They have a single seed or pit making it easy to remove the stone. Shiro plums are abundant producers that are best eaten fresh or cooked in deserts such as tarts and pies and preserves. The fruit has a longer shelf life than most plums and can keep for up to  two weeks in the fridge.

Trees can live up to 40 years and have attractive white blossoms in spring.

Requires a pollinator, which must be another Japanese variety such as Early Golden or Nadia.

These are four-year old trees that have a 20mm caliber. They are potted in 10G pots. Trees will be branched out and mature around 15ft.
