Description
Golden Russet is a classic cultivar which is known for its wonderful fresh eating as well as cider production. The fruit is creamy and firm with a sugary, sweet, sharp, and tart taste creating a unique balance between tart and sweet. Stores well with great shelf life and is a reliable producer. Golden Russet are resistant to scab and cedar-apple rust, but care should be taken when pruning, as this is a tip-bearing tree.
Trees are two years old and will be approximately 5ft. They are grafted on EMLA 7 rootstock. Trees will mature 12-15ft in height.
Pollinator required, compatible varieties that pair well include CrimsonCrisp, Granny Smith, Royal Courtland, Fuji and Zestar.
Zone 4-7.
Trees are bareroot (not potted) and are available for local pickup from April 25 – April 28, 2025.
