Description
Benton is self pollinating and is similar in taste as Bing but is hardier. It is a cross between Stella and Beaulieu and bears large fruit. It has excellent firmness and outstanding flavor. It is a great choice for both commercial and home growers as it is a reliable producer, crops well and is resistant to cracking. This is a late-season variety that is ranked highly in taste and performance. Buds are less susceptible to frost damage.
Suitable for zones 5-8.
Ripens: Early/Mid July
