Regina is a dark sweet cherry with large and firm fruit. This variety is more crack and split resistant making it a popular choice for commercial growers as they are easier to store and transport. It is a late-season variety that has exceptional flavour with its nice balance of sweetness and acidity. This variety blooms late which can help avoid early spring frost.
Ripens: Late July/Early August
Suitable for zones 5-8.
Requires a pollinator choose another late season variety such as Hedelfingen, Emperor Francis, Benton or Stardust.
